Responsibilities Provide one-on-one independent living skills training in clients' homes and community settings. Teach budgeting and money management skills. Assist clients with grocery shopping, meal planning, and cooking. Support clients with household management, cleaning, and organization. Assist with accessing community resources and public transportation. Help clients schedule and attend medical, dental, DMV, and other appointments. Provide support with employment readiness, resume building, and job searching. Assist clients with benefit applications such as Medi-Cal, CalFresh, SSI, and other community services. Teach safety skills, social skills, communication, and self-advocacy. Encourage community participation and recreational activities. Complete accurate daily documentation, progress notes, and mileage logs. Maintain professional boundaries while building positive relationships with clients. Attend staff meetings and required trainings. Requirements High School Diploma or GED Valid California Driver's License Reliable personal vehicle Current automobile insurance Ability to pass a criminal background check Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification Basic computer and smartphone skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, mental health, or intellectual disabilities Experience in Independent Living Services (ILP), Supported Living Services (SLS), caregiving, behavioral health, or social services Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus College Degree (Associates/ Bachelors) Join us as a Direct Support Staff member to be part of a dedicated team committed to enriching lives through compassionate care!
