Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Medication Aide to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in an assisted living environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly in memory care and senior care settings. As a Qualified Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medications and monitoring their vital signs. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications to residents according to established protocols. Monitor and document residents' vital signs, reporting any significant changes to nursing staff. Assist with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and safety of residents. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and resident care. Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans. Provide support for hospice care as needed, ensuring dignity and respect for all residents. Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare professionals. Ensure compliance with all health regulations and facility policies. Qualifications Certification as a Qualified Medication Aide is required. Previous experience in assisted living or senior care settings is preferred. Knowledge of memory care practices and patient care techniques is highly desirable. Familiarity with vital sign monitoring and medical office systems is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.
