The ideal candidate will have experience in dementia care, assisted living, and a strong understanding of the needs of individuals with varying abilities, including those on the autism spectrum. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and support. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Monitor and document vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes in health are reported promptly. Support clients with mobility and physical activities while ensuring their safety. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive engagement. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses and social workers, to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as required. Uphold confidentiality and respect the privacy of all clients at all times. Experience Previous experience in dementia care or assisted living environments is preferred. Familiarity with CPR techniques is advantageous; certification is a plus. Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable. Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic healthcare practices is beneficial. A background in social work or nursing can enhance the ability to provide comprehensive care.
