Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated caregiving team as a full-time Caregiver, providing compassionate support and essential assistance to individuals in need of daily living care. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Whether working during the day or overnight shifts, you will be a vital part of creating a nurturing environment that promotes independence and dignity. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration needs to promote proper nutrition Implement behavior management strategies for residents with dementia or cognitive disabilities to ensure safety and comfort Operate manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely during transfers and repositioning Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control standards Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare teams to coordinate care plans and report concerns promptly Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures and CPR certification requirements to respond effectively in emergencies Support residents' participation in social activities and community engagement to enhance quality of life Skills Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly desirable Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and geriatrics best practices Proficiency in vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and safe patient lifting practices Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and professionalism Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous Familiarity with manual handling techniques including Hoyer lifts and safe patient transfer methods Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork in a caregiving environment Join us if you're passionate about providing heartfelt care that improves lives!
