Job Description
Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Caregiver (Care Attendant), where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal care. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs, observing for changes, and reporting findings to healthcare professionals Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when required Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Support clients during outings or community activities, promoting social engagement and independence Document care activities meticulously in compliance with healthcare standards and care plans Requirements Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes; experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's), or memory care is highly valued Certification in First Aid and CPR; knowledge of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing signs of distress or health deterioration Familiarity with medication administration, vital signs measurement, and care plan adherence Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings as needed; compassionate attitude and patience are essential Embark on a fulfilling career that empowers you to provide essential support while fostering independence and well-being.
