Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor patients' health by checking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings to healthcare professionals promptly. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding to ensure dietary needs are met according to care plans. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Support clients with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment. Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in meaningful activities that promote mental health and social interaction. Assist with transportation for medical appointments or errands, ensuring safe and reliable personal transportation assistance. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration. Familiarity with specialized care such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders is desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, when necessary, using proper techniques to prevent injury. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation of care activities while adhering to HIPAA standards. Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or home health environments is advantageous. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client outings or appointments are required.
