Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking dedicated and experienced Caregivers to provide
OVERNIGHT
shifts to our clients in the
CHESHIRE AND WALLINGFORD
areas . The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dementia care and the ability to stay awake most of the night. This role consist of the ability to provide the client(s) personalized assistance, ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the night. The position emphasizes safety, communication, and compassionate support. Duties Monitor residents' health status during overnight hours, including checking for wetness and overall condition assessments. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and respect. Provide medication reminders and support medication administration if needed. Ensure client's safety by implementing safe patient lifting practices and manual handling techniques. Respond promptly to clients' needs or emergencies, including being awake when needed, ability to manage clients with cognitive disabilities or dementia. Maintain accurate documentation of overnight observations, incidents, and care. Support clients' nutritional needs by assisting with feeding (if necessary) as required during the night shift. Uphold cleanliness standards by assisting with light cleaning duties within client's room and common areas to promote a healthy environment. Skills Proven experience in providing overnight care with a focus on dementia and memory care. Strong knowledge of ADLs assistance, and monitoring. Familiarity with dementia care techniques, behavior management strategies, and Alzheimer's care best practices. Knowledge of safe patient turning practices, manual handling procedures, and transfer techniques, if needed. Excellent client communication skills coupled with compassionate caregiving approaches tailored to individual needs.
Pay:
$160.00 - $170.00 per day
