Briason Associates is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our In-Home Services (IHS) program. The IHS staff will work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in the home environment. This role involves providing support, assistance with daily living activities, and ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals while fostering independence and growth. Why Briason Associates?

        Key Responsibilities:
        • Provide personal care and assistance with daily activities such as grooming, dressing, meal preparation.
        • Support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their personal goals, including social, educational, and recreational activities.
        • Foster a positive, supportive environment that promotes independence, self-esteem, and community inclusion.
        • Maintain open communication with family members, ensuring that the needs of the individual are being met.
        • Monitor and document progress, behaviors, and activities through daily reports and record-keeping.
        • Follow safety protocols, including emergency procedures, and assist with crisis intervention if necessary.
        • Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities that promote the individual's emotional well-being.
        • Collaborate with IHS Program Supervisor and other team members to develop and implement person-centered plans.
        Qualifications:
        Experience:
        • Minimum of one year of experience as a caregiver.
        Verifiable family caregiving experience will be accepted.
        Education:
        • At least 60 college credits in the field of human services or a related degree (e.g.,
        • psychology, social work, education, etc.
        ). Equivalent experience will be considered.
        Skills:
        o Strong communication and interpersonal skills. o Ability to work independently and as part of a team. o Compassionate and patient demeanor. o Ability to follow instructions and work in compliance with established guidelines and protocols. o Basic understanding of developmental disabilities and person-centered care approaches. Additional Requirements and Pre-Employment Conditions Pre-Employment Clearances As a condition of employment with Briason, all prospective personnel must complete required pre-employment clearances. Employment does not begin until all clearances are obtained, reviewed, and approved.
        Required clearances include:
        • Criminal Background Check
        • Fingerprinting
        • Sex Offender Registry
        • Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9), with supporting documentation Failure to complete or maintain required clearances results in:
        • Delayed start date
        • Suspension
        • Termination of employment Mandatory Pre-Employment Training All personnel must complete the required training before starting any work assignments.
        Required training includes:
        • Sexual Harassment Prevention
        • Incident Reporting Procedures
        • Mandated Reporter Training
        • Review HIPAA requirements and complete "Secure It" training Additional Employment Requirements
        • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, if required for travel. o Submission of Insurance and registration if applicable (Transporting service receipts)
        • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. New Employee Orientation
        • All newly hired Parent Coaches must complete a five (5) day New Employee Orientation within the first ninety (90) days of employment.
        • This orientation provides the knowledge, skills, and understanding of organizational expectations required for effective job performance.
        Note:
        In lieu of minimum requirements identified above, all accepted candidates as well as those that will remain gainfully employed by Briason Associates must demonstrate strong abilities in written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; good organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills; ability to work accurately, with interruptions, to meet deadlines; ability to work well independently and as part of a team; ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside individuals and vendors; ability to exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment and discretion; sensitivity to confidential matters will be required.
        Pay:
        Up to $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 35.0 per week
