Caregiver IAH Homecare LLC Hamden, CT Job Details Part-time $17 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Direct support Patient interaction CNA Bathing assistance Meal assistance Full Job Description As an IAH Homecare Caregiver, you will provide individualized non-medical support to clients in their homes. Depending on the client's care plan, you may assist with personal care, activities of daily living, companionship, mobility, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and other approved services. Caregivers are expected to promote each client's safety, dignity, independence, comfort, and quality of life while following the client's individualized care plan and IAH Homecare policies.

Responsibilities Caregiver responsibilities may include:

Providing companionship and meaningful social interaction Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other personal-care needs Assisting with toileting and incontinence care when required Providing mobility and walking assistance Providing appropriate transfer assistance within caregiver training and the client's care plan Providing fall-prevention and safety support Preparing simple meals and assisting with meal setup Encouraging appropriate food and fluid intake according to the client's established plan Performing light housekeeping related to the client's care Assisting with laundry and changing linens Providing medication reminders when authorized Accompanying clients during activities or approved errands when applicable Providing respite and supervision Encouraging client independence whenever safely possible Following individualized client care plans and safety instructions Documenting services provided during each shift Promptly reporting changes in a client's condition, falls, incidents, safety concerns, or other significant observations to IAH Homecare Maintaining client privacy and confidentiality Communicating professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and other members of the care team Qualifications We are looking for candidates who: Are at least 18 years old Are compassionate, patient, respectful, and dependable Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Are comfortable assisting older adults and individuals who may have mobility or personal-care needs Can follow written care plans and agency procedures Can maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality Are reliable and able to arrive for scheduled shifts on time Can safely perform the physical duties required for the assigned client Are willing to complete required orientation, training, and competency requirements Can successfully complete applicable background and employment screening requirements Previous experience as a Caregiver, PCA, CNA, Home Health Aide, Direct Support Professional, Companion, or similar role is preferred. Relevant personal caregiving experience may also be considered. CNA certification is welcomed but is not required for all IAH Homecare caregiver assignments.

Pay:

$17.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 per week
