Job Description

We are looking for a CNA to work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:45-4:45. This position is a part-time position equalling 24 hrs/week. Noble Care is an adult day center in Rocky Hill, CT. We are a relatively new business and we are hoping that whoever we hire will be able to grow with us. As an adult day center, we provide clients, mostly those with Dementia, care and socialization while family members are at work. Clients typically arrive around 9 and leave about 4. Their days are filled with activities such as bingo, crafts, exercise, and word games. While most of our clients are physically capable of walking on their own, we have a couple of clients who need some additional help especially in the restroom. This is not very intensive CNA work, but it is important that this CNA is able to help toilet clients. This CNA needs to be very caring and enthusiastic as we want our clients to feel comfortable and welcome when they come to the center. This means we want a CNA who is attentive to our clients and their needs. Some of the duties this caregiver will have are toileting clients, helping them move from one room to the next, organizing and leading activities, and cleaning the center.
WE NEED SOMEONE WHO IS WILLING TO TAKE INITIATIVE
This person will need to be able to recognize when a client needs an activity or if a client is feeling upset, this caretaker also needs to be able to cheer them up (to the best of their abilities). This CNA will also be responsible, along with fellow CNAs, for communicating with families. Further, this CNA will also need to be patient! We are working with people with dementia. They have issues with their memories, communicating effectively, and sometimes they have difficulties controlling emotions. Our clients never get violent, but it can be easy to get frustrated when a client repeats themselves. It's important that this CNA can take a step back, cool down, and tackle any problems with a clear head.
