Part-Time (1 Day per Week)

competitive hourly rate based on experience Are you a Registered Nurse looking for a flexible, low-stress side opportunity to share your clinical knowledge? We are seeking a passionate Registered Nurse (RN) to lead our Home Health Aide (HHA) training classes one day per week in Stratford, CT. This position is ideal for an RN looking to earn extra income, step back from direct bedside care, or transition into clinical education without a full-time commitment. Key Responsibilities Conduct classroom instruction and practical skills training for HHA candidates according to Connecticut state standards. Demonstrate and evaluate essential patient care techniques (vital signs, personal care assistance, mobility/transfers, and patient safety). Administer skills competency evaluations and assess student performance. Maintain accurate attendance records, training logs, and student documentation. Foster a supportive, engaging learning environment for incoming caregivers.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Active, unencumbered Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience (experience in home healthcare, adult day care, or long-term care strongly preferred). Prior teaching, clinical preceptor, or training experience is a plus, but we welcome RNs with strong communication skills looking to teach. Punctual, reliable, and able to commit to standard classroom hours on the designated training day.
Schedule & Hours Time Commitment:
1 day per week (approx. 6 to 8 hours depending on class schedule).
Work Location:
In-person at our Stratford, CT facility.
