We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various living environments. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and dignity. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and noting changes in condition for care plan adjustments. Support clients with mobility using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods to ensure safety during movement. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or social activities to foster independence and community engagement. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient observations, medication schedules, and communication with healthcare teams in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Implement specialized care strategies for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or other neurodevelopmental disabilities to enhance quality of life. Conduct routine cleaning duties to uphold a safe and hygienic environment for clients in accordance with health standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and follow individualized care plans that address each client's unique needs. Respond promptly to emergencies by administering first aid or CPR when necessary and following established protocols for patient safety. Qualifications Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and dementia or memory care practices. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of client information at all times. Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and patient transfers safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare teams clearly and compassionately. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in hospice care or neurodevelopmental support are advantageous. Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly valued. Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred for assisting clients outside the home setting.
