Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Life Skills Companion to support individuals with diverse developmental and cognitive disabilities. As a Female Caregiver Preferred, you will play a vital role in empowering clients to develop essential life skills, enhance independence, and participate actively in their communities. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and medication administration Support clients in developing social skills, communication, and behavioral management strategies tailored to individual needs Provide transportation assistance using a standard passenger car for community outings, appointments, or errands Collect data on client progress and behavior to inform care plans and ensure consistent support Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors Collaborate with families, therapists, and social services to coordinate care plans and update progress reports Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during client interactions and community outings Requirements Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health strategies Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly preferred Background in home & community care environments supporting clients with cognitive disabilities Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely and responsibly for client transportation Strong communication skills for effective client engagement and team collaboration Certification in First Aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain prior to employment Experience with data collection, medication administration, and supporting clients with intellectual disabilities is desirable Demonstrated patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude when working with diverse populations Join us in making a lasting impact by empowering individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives.
