Job Summary Looking for 2 special people to care for our wonderful Jamaican mother in her home in Boynton, FL. She is a beautiful soul who is dealing with COPD and diabetes. Responsibilities Assist her with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Monitor her health by observing vital signs and recognizing changes in condition, ensuring timely communication with healthcare professionals Administer medications accurately following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to support dietary needs and preferences Support her with mobility and transfers using proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods to ensure safety for both caregiver and client Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and organizing living spaces Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering positive interactions that enhance mental health and overall well-being Document care activities meticulously, updating care plans regularly and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA and resident's rights Experience Prior experience working in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and recognize signs of medical emergencies or changes in condition Experience working with individuals with COPD, diabetes, and dementia, is advantageous Knowledge of medication administration, first aid, CPR certification, manual handling techniques, and use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts is essential Familiarity with care plans development and implementation for patients with complex needs including hospice care or geriatrics is desirable Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams while respecting residents' rights and confidentiality standards Hands-on experience providing personal transportation assistance or supporting patients with mobility challenges enhances your suitability for this role If you are looking for not just a job but a calling to make a positive impact on a very special woman's life and to feel like you are part of a wonderful loving family, we would love to talk. ​
