You will work closely with clients who have diverse needs, including those with autism, developmental disabilities, cognitive impairments, and neurodevelopmental disorders, helping them navigate daily activities and community involvement with confidence and compassion. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation Support clients in developing life skills such as communication, social interaction, and self-care routines Provide transportation assistance using a standard passenger car to help clients attend appointments, community outings, or recreational activities Implement behavior management strategies tailored to individual needs and support positive behavioral outcomes Collect data on client progress and document observations accurately for ongoing care planning Administer medications following prescribed protocols and maintain detailed medication records Utilize effective communication skills to foster trust and promote client engagement in various settings Experience Prior experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred Background in special education or behavioral health services is advantageous Familiarity with home and community care environments enhances your ability to support clients effectively Knowledge of behavior management techniques and crisis intervention (including First Aid and CPR certification) is desirable Experience operating a standard passenger car for client transportation purposes is required Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with clients, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care Previous caregiving or direct support roles involving intellectual disabilities support are valuable assets Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual can thrive!
