Responsibilities Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Support medication administration in accordance with proper protocols and documentation procedures. Safely operate manual handling equipment, such as Hoyer lifts, to assist with transfers and help prevent injury, if required. Engage individuals in meaningful activities, social interaction, and appropriate behavioral support strategies. Maintain cleanliness of individuals' living areas and common spaces to promote hygiene, comfort, and safety. Follow individual rights policies and maintain respectful, compassionate communication at all times. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening. Prior in-home care experience preferred. CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Experience working with individuals with intellectual, developmental, or cognitive disabilities is highly valued. Ability to operate a standard passenger vehicle for community outings or appointments, when necessary. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and team members. Ability to perform physical duties associated with caregiving, including lifting and safe transfer assistance. Familiarity with medication administration procedures and vital-sign monitoring is a plus.
