Job Summary Full-time and part-time opportunities We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Care Support professional to provide exceptional assistance to individuals with intellectual disabilities and diverse needs in a residential care setting. In this vital role, you will deliver personalized care, promote independence, and enhance the quality of life for residents or clients. Your dedication will help create a safe, respectful, and engaging environment where individuals feel valued and supported every day. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support individuals with memory care needs, including those with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia, through specialized behavioral management techniques Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding while respecting dietary restrictions and preferences Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control protocols are followed Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care plans and report any concerns or changes in condition Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Knowledge of working with individuals with intellectual disabilities such as autism and Down syndrome Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is required Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles for community outings or appointments if necessary Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is a plus Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with residents and team members Demonstrated understanding of safe patient lifting practices and medication administration procedures Join us as a Direct Care Support and become an essential part of a dedicated team committed to enriching lives through compassionate caregiving.
