SPECIAL NEEDS NANNY NEEDED WITH EXPERIENCE WITH CHILDREN ON THE SPECTRUM
Full-Time Special Needs Nanny (RBT Preferred) — Fort Lauderdale, FL A private Fort Lauderdale family is seeking an experienced, compassionate full-time nanny for their two daughters, both on the autism spectrum (one non-verbal). This is a meaningful, long-term role for a caregiver who understands neurodiversity, thrives on structure and routine, and genuinely delights in supporting children with autism as they learn, grow, and communicate in their own way. We're looking for someone patient, energetic, and consistent — a nanny who can partner closely with the family's clinical team (BCBA, speech, and occupational therapists) and carry therapeutic strategies into everyday life. Responsibilities Provide attentive one-on-one and shared care for two girls on the autism spectrum Support the non-verbal child's communication using AAC, PECS, or her preferred system, honoring all forms of communication Maintain predictable routines, visual schedules, and smooth transitions Reinforce ABA-based and therapist-directed strategies consistently throughout the day Support sensory regulation, play-based learning, and social-emotional development Assist with daily living skills, mealtimes, hygiene, and safe community outings Communicate daily with parents and coordinate with the therapy team Keep simple progress notes/data as requested by the family's BCBA What We're Looking For Hands-on experience caring for children on the autism spectrum, including non-verbal children RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification strongly preferred — or solid working knowledge of ABA principles and willingness to certify Familiarity with AAC devices, PECS, visual supports, and sensory regulation tools Calm, patient, high-energy presence with the ability to manage two children's needs simultaneously A genuine, respectful, strengths-based approach to neurodiversity Reliability, discretion, and a long-term commitment Preferred Credentials Active RBT certification CPR/First Aid certified Background in ABA, special education, speech, or child development Valid driver's license, clean record, reliable vehicle Able to pass a comprehensive background check

$30.00 - $45.00 per hour
