Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a passion for working with individuals who have developmental disabilities, including those with dementia. This role is essential in providing high-quality medical support in various settings, including acute care and assisted living environments. The Medical Technician will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of patients while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining a safe and supportive atmosphere. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities and personal hygiene. Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress accurately. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the medical office or facility. Support residents and promote independence and dignity. Experience Familiarity with dementia care practices is highly desirable. Experience in assisted living environments will be considered an asset. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
