A Caregiver or Personal Care Aide provides non-medical care for adults, including elderly and disabled people, typically in their own homes. Assists clients with daily tasks including bathing, medication reminders, and light housekeeping; may also provide transportation for appointments and errands. These roles do not always require formal certification.
•We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, patient, and outgoing live-in caregiver to assist a 64-year-old woman with daily living activities, companionship, and ongoing recovery support in a comfortable home environment. This is a live-in position within a private residence. The client lives in the home with her husband, who is actively involved and provides additional support. We are looking for someone who is friendly, positive, comfortable traveling with the family when needed, and willing to help with everyday household tasks.
Responsibilities:
Assist with daily living activities as needed Provide companionship and emotional support Help with meal preparation and household chores, including light cleaning, laundry, dishes, and general tidying Assist with medication reminders Accompany the client to appointments, errands, outings, and activities as needed Be comfortable traveling with the client and family when needed Support and encourage participation in prescribed physical therapy exercises Assist with speech therapy exercises and communication practice as directed by healthcare providers Encourage social interaction and activities Monitor overall well-being and communicate any concerns Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and comfortable living environment
Qualifications:
Previous caregiving, home health aide, CNA, rehabilitation aide, or related experience preferred Experience assisting with physical therapy, mobility exercises, or speech therapy is a plus Reliable, trustworthy, patient, compassionate, and outgoing Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable traveling when needed Willing to assist with everyday household chores Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Ability to pass a background check
