Overview Join our dedicated team as a Resident Aide and become a vital part of providing compassionate, personalized care to residents in a supportive environment. In this role, you will assist residents with daily activities, promote their well-being, and ensure a safe, comfortable living experience. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help foster a warm community where residents feel valued and cared for every day. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature regularly Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines Provide compassionate care for individuals with dementia or cognitive disabilities, including memory care techniques and behavior management strategies Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers and mobility needs Engage residents in social activities, group exercises, and recreational programs to promote mental and physical well-being Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, resident progress, and any incidents in compliance with facility policies Skills Proven experience in assisted living or long-term care environments, especially with geriatrics or memory care populations Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's support strategies, and safe patient lifting practices Ability to perform first aid and CPR confidently in emergency situations Skilled in assisting with ADLs and providing personal care with dignity and respect Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with residents, families, and team members Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is highly valued Capable of heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while maintaining safety standards for both residents and staff Join us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents!
