Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support individuals with dementia or cognitive disabilities through personalized care plans and behavior management strategies Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities accurately Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry Follow resident's rights policies to promote dignity, respect, and autonomy at all times Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care Experience Prior assisted living or long-term care experience preferred, especially in residential or home & community care settings Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia Knowledge of geriatrics, senior care practices, and safe patient lifting techniques is highly valued Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications like medication administration or behavior management are advantageous Familiarity with resident rights policies and group home operations enhances your ability to provide comprehensive support Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate standard passenger vehicles when needed for client transportation Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with diverse populations Join us in delivering compassionate, respectful care that truly makes a difference!
