com Our office in in Largo but hiring for Pinellas, Hillsborough & Pasco counties Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker (Companion & Personal Support) to provide high-quality, person-centered care to individuals with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients through attentive support, assistance with daily activities, and fostering a safe, respectful environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring long-term care, memory support, or developmental assistance. All positions are paid and integral to delivering essential services in home and community settings. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while respecting dietary restrictions. Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation. Maintain a clean and safe environment through routine cleaning tasks and adherence to infection control protocols. Assist with transportation to medical appointments, community activities, or errands as needed. Follow care plans meticulously while respecting residents' rights and individual preferences in all interactions. Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred. Knowledge of Client observation is highly desirable. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or autism spectrum conditions is advantageous. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training medication administration is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork within multidisciplinary settings. Demonstrated understanding of client's rights, patient monitoring standards, and care plan implementation. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight as needed.
