Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Observe changes in health status, reporting any concerns promptly Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer clients with mobility challenges Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and updates to care plans Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing memory care strategies and engaging activities Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment in compliance with health standards Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to coordinate comprehensive care Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement Skills Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, or long-term care environments Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Strong understanding of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental disabilities Certified in CPR and First Aid; additional certifications like HIPAA compliance are preferred Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Excellent communication skills for working with patients, families, and healthcare teams Experience working within resident's personalized care plans while adhering to safety protocols Compassionate demeanor with a proactive attitude towards patient safety and well-being This position is a self-employed ( 1099 ) Preferred but not required: - Bilingual - Male caregiver.
