Overview Join our dedicated team as a Resident Aide and make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. In this vital role, you'll provide compassionate personal care, assist with daily activities, and support residents' well-being in a warm, respectful environment. Your energy and caring nature will help create a safe, engaging community where residents feel valued and supported every day. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Provide medication reminders and support medication administration under supervision, adhering to safety protocols Support residents with cognitive disabilities or memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers Engage residents in social activities, promote mental stimulation, and foster a positive community atmosphere Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas, following infection control standards Communicate effectively with residents' families and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care Experience Prior assisted living or long-term care experience preferred; familiarity with geriatrics and senior care is highly valued Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities, including dementia or Alzheimer's disease Knowledge of vital signs monitoring, medication administration, first aid, CPR certification required or obtainable upon hire Hands-on experience with manual handling techniques and safe patient lifting practices Background in home & community care or residential care homes enhances your ability to deliver personalized support Demonstrated ability to manage behavior challenges through compassionate behavior management strategies Proven skills in client communication and group home operations are advantageous for success in this role Join us to be part of an energetic team committed to enriching lives through compassionate caregiving.
