5-10 hours per week AD Homemaker & Companion Services is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable companion caregiver for a young female client with high-functioning autism. This is a comfortable case with a kind and supportive family in a clean home environment. The ideal candidate will have a youthful, energetic personality, relate well to a younger client, and enjoy occasional outdoor activities and community outings. Responsibilities Provide companionship and appropriate supervision Participate in occasional outdoor activities and community outings Encourage social interaction and community participation Support the client with age-appropriate daily activities Follow the client's service plan and document services provided Maintain a safe, positive, and respectful environment Requirements Must speak English fluently, as the client communicates only in English Patient, compassionate, professional, and dependable Energetic and comfortable working with a young client Current APD-required documentation and training Experience supporting individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred The client's mother speaks Spanish, but the caregiver must be able to communicate directly with the client in English.
