Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance and support to residents in a nursing home or memory care facility
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Monitor and record vital signs of residents
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and restrictions
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses and social workers, to ensure the well-being of residents
Experience:
  • Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
  • Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies
  • Familiarity with memory care techniques and strategies is a plus
Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with elderly individuals
  • Attention to detail in providing care and documenting resident information
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
