Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for children of various ages, including toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. Plan and implement engaging activities that support childhood development, early education, and social skills. Ensure safety by adhering to mandated reporting laws, practicing proper behavior management techniques, and maintaining a secure environment. Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, following established protocols to ensure health emergencies are managed promptly. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities to foster transparency and trust. Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance to promote inclusion and independence. Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and developmental milestones in compliance with childcare standards. Experience Prior experience working with children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. Demonstrated experience in childcare settings such as daycare centers, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs teaching. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and early childhood education best practices. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in childhood safety protocols is preferred. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is essential for ensuring compliance and safety. Proven ability to plan age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play while fostering social-emotional growth.
