28th October till the 4th November Looking for a reliable support worker to travel with two disabled horror fans this October! Rhys Bowler - Rhys has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and is a wheelchair and ventilator user. Who is a profound tea addict. Josh - Josh is a Wheelchair user with Cerebral Palsy, who will require hoisting, and a big metalhead and horror buff. To provide high-quality, person-centred support to a disabled individual during an international trip. You will be working as the main carer. The post holder will assist with personal care, mobility, daily living activities, and community access, ensuring the individual's health, safety, dignity, and wellbeing are maintained throughout the journey.. Key Duties and Responsibilities Deliver practical and emotional support in accordance with the client's assessed needs and preferences. Assist with personal care, including toileting, dressing, washing, and other activities of daily living, as required. Provide mobility support, including safe transfers and wheelchair assistance where applicable. Support the client during all stages of travel, including airport procedures, flights, transfers, and accommodation arrangements. Prompt or administer medication where appropriately trained and authorised. Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration, where required. Accompany the client on planned activities and outings in Miami. Observe and report any changes in the client's physical, emotional, or behavioural wellbeing. Maintain accurate and timely records, where requested. Work cooperatively with the primary carer, respecting their lead role and established methods of support. Promote the client's independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion at all times. Comply with all relevant safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety, and data protection requirements.
