Job Description Job Description We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable female staff to provide support services for an adult individual in the Palm Harbor area. This role is ideal for someone patient, attentive, and experienced supporting individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities. The individual is ambulatory, enjoys structured routines, and is heavily involved in her church community. Current services will primarily take place in the home and at church activities, with potential future opportunities to accompany the individual on community outings, beach trips, and family vacations.
Schedule Friday:
4:00 PM - 9:00
PM Saturday:
Flexible 5-6 hour shift
Sunday:
9:30 AM - 1:30
PM Responsibilities May Include :
Assisting with personal care and daily living activities Providing supervision and maintaining a safe environment Supporting participation in church and community-based activities Assisting with meal routines and monitoring food-related behaviors Encouraging engagement in structured activities and routines Supporting emotional and behavioral stability through calm, consistent care
Important Considerations :
Consumer is non-verbal and communicates through behaviors and nonverbal cues Potential staff must be attentive, patient, and comfortable supporting someone with limited verbal communication Individual requires close supervision for safety-related behaviors, including PICA May engage in self-injurious behaviors during periods of discomfort or dysregulation
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities or behavioral support needs preferred Reliable transportation and valid driver's license CPR/First Aid certification preferred Highly recommended for candidates with RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) experience or certification Ability to remain calm, observant, and supportive in challenging situations Comfortable accompanying the individual to church and future community outings This is a rewarding opportunity for someone looking to provide meaningful, person-centered support in a structured and supportive environment.
