Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Caregiver to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to residents with memory impairments, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. You will work closely with individuals in a group home or assisted living setting, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes dignity and respect. Duties Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any changes in condition. Take and record vital signs to ensure the health and safety of residents. Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, helping them navigate their daily challenges. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by adhering to health and safety protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Document resident progress and any significant changes in behavior or health status. Requirements Previous experience in memory care, senior care, or long-term care settings is preferred. Knowledge of medication administration protocols and ability to take vital signs. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a group home or assisted living environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with residents and their families. Certification in First Aid is desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held. Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care. Must be able to pass AHCA level 2background check as required by state regulations.
