Saint Petersburg, FL Job Details Part-time $16 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description Summary D escription Provides training in daily living skills to residents of the Enhanced Community residences, group homes and supervised apartments. Maintains a safe and secure residential environment by performing security checks, bed checks, and crisis intervention as needed or per facility practice. Documents services provided to residents as per individualized Service Implementation Plans. Duties/Responsibilities Provides assistance to residents relating to the development, reinforcement and maintenance of daily living skills including working, cleaning, laundering, maintaining proper hygiene, etc. Documents services provided to residents as per individualized Service Implementation Plans. Provides assistance, counseling and feedback relating to the development, reinforcement, and maintenance of social skills through individual and group social rehabilitation activities. Documents services provided to residents as per individualized Service Implementation Plans. Provides transportation to social activities and appointments in agency vehicles. Monitors the residents' medication including documenting medication compliance appropriately. Ensures the medication cabinet is secured while on duty. Stays up-to-date on current medication procedures. Monitors the residents' behavior, unusual activities, statements, and documents in the proper place to maintain both a high quality of care and communication. Provides the opportunity for residents to voice issues or concerns relaying these to full time staff orally or in writing in a timely manner. Responds to crisis situations by applying verbal or physical interventions appropriate to the level of the situation. Performs bed checks and security checks according to facility practices. Performs housekeeping chores which may include cooking, cleaning, dusting, washing, removing trash, etc. High School Diploma/GED Six months of experience working in a human service organization. 30 hours of college credits can be substituted for experience. Experience working with individuals with mental illness preferred. Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, living skills training, medication monitoring. Must pass a Level 2 background check and drug screen. Valid Florida driver's license required.
