In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, foster independence, and promote positive behavioral health in home and community settings. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create a nurturing environment that encourages growth, safety, and joy for those you serve. Duties Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to promote independence and well-being Implement behavior management strategies to support positive behaviors and address challenging behaviors effectively Support communication using various methods such as American Sign Language (ASL) or other augmentative communication tools Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed medication administration records Collect and document data related to progress, behavior patterns, and service delivery to ensure quality care and compliance Drive clients to appointments, community activities, or outings safely while maintaining a clean driving record Collaborate with families, social workers, educators, and healthcare professionals to develop and update individualized plans that meet each person's unique needs Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or other disabilities in home or community settings Strong understanding of special education principles and behavioral health practices to support learning and emotional regulation Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, team members, and community partners Ability to perform caregiving tasks with patience, empathy, and professionalism in diverse environments Knowledge of behavior management techniques and data collection methods for tracking progress Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for safe transportation responsibilities Familiarity with medication administration procedures and documentation requirements This role is ideal for compassionate individuals eager to make a positive impact through direct support and caregiving.
