Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Care Worker and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized support and compassionate care. In this vital role, you will provide assistance with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe, respectful environment for residents across various care settings. Your energetic approach and empathetic nature will help foster a positive atmosphere where clients feel valued and supported every day. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers and repositioning Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and therapeutic exercises to promote mental well-being Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the care environment through regular cleaning routines Document care activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and communicate effectively with healthcare teams Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly desirable Demonstrated knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, and behavioral management techniques Hands-on experience assisting individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments Familiarity with safe patient lifting practices, manual handling procedures, and the operation of mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams in home or community care settings Experience in medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and emergency response procedures including CPR and first aid certifications Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary while maintaining safety standards for both residents and staff Join us to be part of a compassionate team committed to enriching lives through dedicated caregiving. $16.05 - $26.42 per hour
