In this role, you will assist with daily living activities, promote comfort and dignity, and help create a positive experience for each resident. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and committed to delivering person-centered care. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Provide companionship and emotional support while maintaining resident dignity and privacy. Monitor and report changes in resident condition, behavior, or needs to appropriate team members. Support mealtime assistance, hydration, and nutritional needs as directed. Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment. Follow care plans, safety procedures, and facility policies at all times. Assist with transfers, positioning, and use of mobility equipment as needed. Document care activities and observations accurately and in a timely manner. Work collaboratively with nursing staff, supervisors, and other team members to support resident well-being. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in resident care, caregiving, home care, or a related support role is helpful. Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and team members. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others. Ability to follow instructions, care plans, and established procedures. Comfort with providing physical assistance, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods as permitted by workplace policy. Basic observation and documentation skills. Reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Preferred Attributes Experience working with older adults or individuals who need assistance with daily activities. Familiarity with resident safety practices and supportive care techniques. Ability to remain calm and responsive in changing situations.
