As a Live-In Caregiver, you will live on-site and deliver comprehensive support that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities Provide attentive personal care assistance, including help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming Monitor patients' vital signs and observe health status to identify changes or concerns promptly. Administer medications accurately following care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking. Support clients with medication administration, patient monitoring, and maintaining detailed care plans for optimal health outcomes. Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment. Facilitate transportation for appointments or errands using personal transportation assistance when needed. Engage in meaningful communication with clients to promote emotional well-being and ensure their rights are respected within the scope of home & community care standards. Document all care activities meticulously, including patient observations, medication logs, and incident reports to ensure continuity of care. Support clients with neurodevelopmental disorders or developmental disabilities by implementing specialized strategies aligned with best practices in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and intellectual disabilities support. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, CPR/First Aid certification is essential for safety and effective caregiving. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality in all aspects of client care. Experience working directly with individuals with disabilities—including developmental or intellectual disabilities—and neurodevelopmental disorders strengthens your ability to deliver personalized support. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts is required for assisting mobility-impaired clients. Strong communication skills are vital for effectively engaging with clients and coordinating with healthcare teams or family members.
