Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Part-Time DSP (Direct Support Professional) Worker to join our caring team. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate assistance to individuals with disabilities, supporting their daily activities and promoting independence in a safe and respectful environment. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Support residents with medication administration and vital signs monitoring under supervision Provide personalized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, and cognitive disabilities, ensuring their safety and comfort Operate manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively during resident transfers Engage residents in social activities, group outings, and community events to promote socialization and well-being Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Follow all safety protocols including first aid, CPR certification requirements, and safe patient lifting practices Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes preferred Knowledge of dementia care, memory care, geriatrics, and behavior management techniques Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and professionalism Valid CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities is highly desirable Ability to operate a standard passenger car for transportation purposes Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and handle manual transfers
