In this vital role, you will provide compassionate assistance to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, or community care settings, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support residents with medication administration following proper protocols and documentation practices Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers and repositioning Engage in behavior management techniques to promote a calm and supportive environment for residents with cognitive disabilities Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas through routine cleaning and sanitation tasks Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care in home or community settings Knowledge of geriatrics, dementia care, memory care, and developmental disabilities enhances your caregiving effectiveness Experience working with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments is preferred Certification in CPR and First Aid is required to ensure safety during emergencies Familiarity with safe patient lifting practices, medication administration, and client communication is essential Hands-on experience operating equipment such as Hoyer lifts or standard passenger cars is advantageous Join us if you're passionate about providing compassionate care that enriches lives.
