Responsibilities Offer companionship and social engagement to residents or clients, promoting mental stimulation and emotional well-being Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and following care plans diligently Support with medication reminders and basic health monitoring in compliance with HIPAA regulations Facilitate safe patient transfers using proper manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocols Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders support Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, CPR/First Aid certification required or willing to obtain upon hire Ability to assist with ADLs using proper manual handling and patient transfer methods; heavy lifting may be required Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays highly desirable Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Commitment to respecting residents' rights and maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines Join our team as a Male Companion and become an essential part of providing compassionate care that truly makes a difference.
