This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will play a key part in enhancing the quality of life for clients by assisting with daily activities, monitoring health conditions, and creating a warm, trusting environment. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene. Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while adhering to dietary restrictions. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, medication administration, and overall condition; report changes promptly. Help with mobility and transfers using proper techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods to ensure safety. Maintain accurate care plans, document patient progress, and update records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive environment for clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other neurodevelopmental disorders. Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living space. Support clients in community outings or personal transportation needs while ensuring safety at all times. Follow all safety protocols including first aid, CPR certification requirements, and manual handling procedures to prevent injury. Respect residents' rights by promoting independence and dignity while adhering to home & community care standards. Experience Prior experience working as an in-home caregiver or in assisted living/nursing home settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience working with individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, or memory care is advantageous. Familiarity with patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring is essential. Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders enhances your ability to provide comprehensive care. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality is required for all caregiving roles. Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other manual handling equipment is beneficial.
