Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor and observe patients' health status, noting changes in condition or behavior, and report findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper food safety standards. Support clients with medication management, including administering prescribed medications following HIPAA guidelines and care plans. Facilitate patient transfer methods safely using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer techniques. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces. Provide companionship and emotional support while encouraging social engagement and community involvement. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including escorting clients to appointments or community activities using personal transportation assistance. Follow all safety protocols including first aid, CPR certification requirements, manual handling procedures, and resident's rights policies. Support clients with specialized care needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders through tailored care plans. Qualifications Proven experience working with individuals requiring home health or long-term care services. Prior experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or hospice care is highly desirable. Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary for patient transfers or mobility assistance. Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift training or medication administration are a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is preferred. Ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing client needs.
