We are seeking a reliable, responsible, and compassionate On-Call/Weekend Direct Care Worker to support youth residing in a residential foster home setting. This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, works well with youth, can respond calmly in emergency situations, and is willing to provide support when the regular residential staff needs additional coverage. The On-Call Direct Care Worker will be responsible for maintaining availability during assigned on-call periods and may be called upon to provide direct-care coverage, transport residents to medical appointments, respond to emergencies, or fill staffing needs. Compensation $1,000 monthly on-call stipend Additional $150 for each occasion you are required to report to work Opportunities may include weekend coverage, medical appointments, emergency response, staff call-outs, and other approved residential-care needs. Key Responsibilities Maintain reliable availability during assigned on-call periods. Respond promptly to calls and communications from management. Report to the home or designated location when requested. Provide direct supervision and support to residents. Transport residents to scheduled medical appointments and, when authorized, emergency medical facilities. Accompany residents to medical appointments when required. Respond appropriately to resident emergencies and unexpected situations. Contact emergency services when necessary and follow established emergency procedures. Assist with meals, activities, personal care, household routines, and other daily living needs. Monitor resident behavior and provide appropriate redirection and support. Maintain a safe, clean, and structured residential environment. Complete required shift notes, transportation logs, incident reports, and other documentation. Follow resident service plans, house rules, and agency policies. Maintain professional boundaries and resident confidentiality. Report suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, or other safety concerns immediately. Provide weekend and holiday coverage when assigned. Perform other duties necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of residents. Medical Transportation A major responsibility of this position is being available to transport residents to medical appointments, urgent-care visits, emergency rooms, and other authorized appointments when needed.

Minimum Qualifications Must be 25 years of age or older . High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid driver's license required. Must successfully complete required background checks and agency clearances. Must complete required agency training. Must be able to pass any required employment screening. Previous experience working with youth, foster care, group homes, behavioral health, residential care, or social services is preferred but not required. Important Requirement This is a scheduled on-call position , and availability and reliability are essential. Applicants must understand that being assigned to the on-call rotation means they may be contacted to: Cover an unexpected staff absence. Transport a resident to a medical appointment. Respond to a medical or behavioral emergency. Provide emergency residential coverage. Assist with other urgent resident needs. Employees must remain reachable during their assigned on-call periods and communicate promptly with management.
