Duluth, Georgia | Metro Atlanta Job Overview MediNest LLC. is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide personal care and companion services to individuals in their homes. Our caregivers support clients with everyday activities while promoting dignity, independence, comfort, safety, and quality of life. Depending on the individual assignment, caregivers may work with adults, seniors, individuals with disabilities, or pediatric clients whose needs fall within the caregiver's training, demonstrated competency, and authorized scope of responsibilities. Caregivers work according to MediNest policies and procedures and each client's established plan of care or service plan. Caregivers do not independently perform skilled nursing services unless separately qualified, licensed, assigned, and authorized to do so. Responsibilities Depending on the client's needs, assigned duties may include: Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, eating, and mobility. Assist with transfers, positioning, and ambulation using approved safety techniques and equipment for which the caregiver has been properly trained and determined competent. Provide companionship, conversation, recreational activities, and social support. Prepare meals and assist with eating according to the client's needs and established plan of care. Provide medication reminders or assistance only as permitted by applicable Georgia requirements, MediNest policy, the caregiver's training and competency, and the client's established plan of care. Observe the client's general condition and promptly report changes, concerns, incidents, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate MediNest supervisor. Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and other household tasks related to maintaining a safe and comfortable client environment. Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or community activities when specifically included in the assignment. Follow infection-control, safety, emergency, client-rights, privacy, and confidentiality requirements. Complete required service documentation accurately and on time. Communicate professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and authorized members of the care team. Follow MediNest policies, procedures, supervisory instructions, and the client's individualized plan of care. Scope of the Caregiver Role Caregivers are expected to perform only those services they are appropriately trained, competent, assigned, and authorized to perform. Skilled nursing assessments, clinical decision-making, nursing procedures, development or modification of nursing plans of care, and other services requiring professional nursing judgment are performed by appropriately licensed nursing professionals. Qualifications Previous experience in home care, personal care, assisted living, group homes, nursing facilities, pediatric support, or a related setting is preferred. Experience supporting seniors, children, individuals with disabilities, or individuals with developmental needs is a plus. Experience with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory care, or other specialized populations is beneficial. Ability to safely perform the physical responsibilities associated with assigned client care. CPR and First Aid certification preferred or required based on assignment and company requirements. Ability to successfully complete required orientation, training, competency evaluations, health screenings, background requirements, and other applicable employment requirements. Strong communication and observation skills. Dependable, professional, patient, respectful, and compassionate. Ability to protect client privacy and maintain confidentiality. Reliable transportation may be required depending on the assignment. Availability for days, evenings, nights, weekends, or varying schedules is a plus. Why Join MediNest?
