In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their health and well-being, and create a safe, nurturing environment. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as eating, toileting, and transferring using appropriate patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status or behavior Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Maintain detailed documentation of patient observations, care provided, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare standards Facilitate patient engagement through companionship, communication, and activities that promote mental well-being Requirements Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care environments such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and autism support is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely while assisting residents with mobility or transfers Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; ongoing training will be provided if needed Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques including vital signs measurement and medication administration Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Experience working within HIPAA guidelines to ensure client confidentiality and privacy Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight hours as needed Join us today to make a positive impact through compassionate caregiving!
