Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Monitor residents' health by observing vital signs and reporting any changes promptly Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans Prepare nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Facilitate engaging activities that promote mental and physical well-being Assist with patient transfers using manual handling techniques or equipment such as Hoyer lifts Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation of living areas Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings Observe residents' behavior for signs of dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or other neurodevelopmental disorders, adjusting care accordingly Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and resident records Qualifications Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice support is highly desirable Ability to assist with ADLs and perform patient transfers using appropriate methods such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer techniques Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality Experience administering medication safely and following care plans precisely Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in manual handling or heavy lifting are a plus Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members Ability to handle physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects or assisting mobility needs safely Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful and personalized care for individuals with intellectual disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders Join our team to make a meaningful impact every day!
