Scheudule:
Mon- Fri 9am-12pm Overview Join our dedicated team as a Personal Supports Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs. This vital role involves providing compassionate, personalized care to promote independence, well-being, and community engagement. You will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other disabilities, supporting their daily activities and fostering a positive, empowering environment. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while contributing to a supportive and inclusive community. Duties Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity Support behavioral health needs through positive behavior management strategies and behavioral interventions Facilitate communication using techniques like American Sign Language or other communication methods tailored to each individual's needs Help with medication administration following prescribed guidelines and documentation protocols Engage in data collection to monitor progress, track behaviors, and inform care plans Provide transportation and driving support for appointments, community outings, or activities as needed Assist with childcare responsibilities for individuals requiring supervision or developmental support in home or community settings Skills Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other disabilities in home or community environments Strong understanding of special education principles and behavior management techniques Proficiency in American Sign Language or other alternative communication methods preferred Knowledge of behavioral health practices and medication administration procedures Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and team members Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with compassion, patience, and professionalism Valid driver's license and safe driving record for transportation duties This role is ideal for compassionate individuals eager to support others while developing valuable caregiving skills. Pay:
$13.00 - $13.50 per hour
