Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Homecare Office Admin & Backup Caregiver, where your energetic and compassionate approach will make a meaningful difference in patient care and office operations. In this vital role, you will provide essential administrative support within our homecare office environment while also stepping in as a backup caregiver to assist patients and their families if needed. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will ensure smooth agency workflows, accurate documentation, and exceptional patient service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to blend administrative expertise with compassionate caregiving, fostering a supportive environment for both staff and patients. Responsibilities Manage Client and Staff records, with precision and confidentiality ensuring that all required documents are in the files . Maintain a physical and electronic file for all clients and staff and ensure does files are up to date Initiate background checks and E-verify for all new hires Follow up with case managers on expiring referrals and follow up with leads as needed. Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality policies. Provide backup caregiving services by assisting with patient activities of daily living (ADLs), medication reminders, and emotional support when needed. Maintain office organization through filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), etc to ensure an efficient clinical environment. Skills Experience working in a homecare or healthcare environment is essential. Knowledge with EMR systems Must have prior caregiving experience. Must have a reliable vehicle and be willing to work as a backup caregiver if/when needed Excellent clerical skills including filing, data entry, phone communication, appointment scheduling, and document review. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively but not required. Clinic experience or medical office management background enhances your ability to navigate fast-paced healthcare environments confidently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with strong computer skills for documentation review and administrative tasks. Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette to create positive patient interactions. Prior experience working with Medicaid, LTC or VA contracts is a is a plus; familiarity with health information management policies is advantageous.
