Job Description

Companion Caregiver - Non-Medical Home Care We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional Companion Caregivers to join our growing team. This position provides non-medical companion and sitter services to adults who need assistance with daily living activities and companionship. Our caregivers play an important role in supporting clients' independence while promoting safety, comfort, and quality of life. Join our team at the beginning of an exciting journey! Responsibilities Provide companionship and supervision in the client's home Assist with routine daily activities within the scope of non-medical companion/sitter services Prepare light meals and assist with meal-related tasks Perform light housekeeping related to the client's immediate needs Provide medication reminders Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and activities as assigned Encourage social interaction, engagement, and independence Observe and report changes or concerns regarding the client's condition or environment Complete required service documentation accurately and on time Follow each client's individualized service plan and agency policies and procedures Maintain client confidentiality, dignity, and professional boundaries Requirements & Qualifications Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional Must have reliable transportation Must be able to travel to assigned client locations Must successfully complete all required background screening Must be CPR and First Aid certified prior to providing client care Must provide proof of current CPR and First Aid certification Must complete all required United South Healthcare Services orientation and training Must be willing to participate in required competency evaluations and ongoing training Must maintain accurate and timely client documentation Previous caregiving, companion care, senior care, or home care experience is preferred What We're Looking For We're looking for caregivers who genuinely enjoy helping others. Schedule Schedules may vary based on client needs and availability. Part-time and PRN opportunities may be available. $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

This position provides non-medical companion and sitter services only. Are you comfortable providing services such as companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, transportation, and medication reminders? Are you comfortable using a smartphone to clock in/out and complete caregiver documentation? Do you have experience providing care or companionship to older adults or individuals with disabilities? Are you available to work some evenings, weekends, or holidays if needed? Are you currently CPR and First Aid certified, or are you willing to obtain both certifications before providing client care?
