Job Summary The In Home Caregiver plays a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their homes. This position involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being. Caregivers will work closely with clients who may have developmental disabilities, autism, or require assistance due to aging or health conditions. Duties Provide personal care services such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs as needed. Support clients in daily activities and encourage independence. Prepare meals and assist with feeding when required. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and client progress. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition. Skills Experience in social work or home care is preferred. Familiarity with group home settings and working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus. Strong patient monitoring skills to ensure the health and safety of clients. Ability to lift clients safely and provide physical support as needed. Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is beneficial.
