Behavioral Support Caregiver Location:

Rome, GA 30165 We are seeking a dependable, patient, and experienced CNA/PCA with behavioral-care experience to provide one-on-one care and supervision for an individual in Rome, Georgia. The individual is not violent or aggressive , but requires close supervision, consistent attention, patience, and appropriate redirection to maintain their safety. The right caregiver must understand behavioral needs and know how to respond calmly, respectfully, and professionally. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one supervision and behavioral support. Remain attentive to the individual and maintain a safe environment. Recognize behavioral changes and respond appropriately. Provide calm and appropriate redirection when needed. Help prevent unsafe behaviors or actions that could result in self-injury. Follow the individual's care plan and behavioral support instructions. Assist with activities of daily living and personal care as needed. Provide companionship and keep the individual appropriately engaged. Document and report behavioral or health changes. Maintain the individual's dignity, privacy, and independence.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants MUST have the following: Current CNA and/or PCA credentials Current CPR certification Current TB test/screening Ability to pass a background check Experience or understanding of behavioral care Ability to provide close, attentive supervision Ability to follow a care plan and safety instructions Dependable transportation and reliable attendance Patience, compassion, professionalism, and good communication skills Please do not apply if you cannot provide the required credentials and documentation. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who understands that behavioral care requires more than simply being present. The caregiver must remain attentive, interact with the individual, recognize potential safety concerns, and provide appropriate redirection when necessary. Experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs, developmental disabilities, special needs, or similar conditions is strongly preferred.
